Univers Zero: Crawling Wind (BEL) 12” EP/PS/Caos Intl. Series-JAP/83 This is the one that everyone wants and very few have! The pieces here are “Toujours Plus á L’Est,” “Before the Heat,” and “Central Belgium in the Dark.” I believe that all of these pieces appear nowhere else other than here, which is what makes this so very sought after. “Central Belgium” was recorded live. Man, this is some dark and heavy stuff! sl rw, boc, wol VG+/E+ $75

Unobstructed Universe: Unobstructed Universe (USA) Adamo-USA/76 A mixture of psych rock and freaked-out jazz with a jamming feel throughout. Urban,
Max: Phlegm Fatale (USA) Gatefold/M=No-USA/86 Here’s one for all who enjoy Zappa and his early
concept albums, his arrangement style, and his guitar work.
Max has subtitled his work the “video puppet theatre original
soundscore.” The music and
playing is great throughout. A
private pressing that I never see offered.
Recommended. sl cw

Utopia: Todd Rundgren’s Utopia (USA) RE/Rhino-USA/88? This was originally released in 1974, and, although
many don’t realize it, this is simply one of the best American progressive
rock albums ever, as far as I’m concerned.
This was Utopia’s first release, and it features three (count ‘em,
three!) keyboardists. Side one
contains three pieces (two of them over ten minutes long), including the awesome
“Utopia Theme.” Side two is
filled up by a 30+ minute opus called “The Ikon.”
Highly recommended. sc
